Nomination and Selection Critera

Each year the Mallee Sports Assembly shall offer the following awards:

Sports Star of the Year Award;
Junior Encouragement Award;
Masters Athlete of the Year Award;
Coach of the Year Award;
Sports Administrator of the Year Award;
Junior Team of the Year Award;
Senior Team of the Year Award;
Club of the Year Award;
Volunteer of the Year Award;
Indigenous Sports Person of the Year Award;
Hall of Fame

The selection of award winners is to be carried out by a panel consisting of:

Representatives from our sponsors
An independent representative of the community
Two representatives of the MSA Committee of Management
Representatives from the media

The selection panel shall meet in January each year to determine the winners for the previous year.

Note:
The Selection Panel will act in accordance with any timelines and direction provided in this publication but will otherwise be free to make selections based on their own selection criteria. No disputes will be considered by the Mallee Sports Assembly in relation to selections made.

Sports Star of the Year Monthly Winners

Nominations for the Sports Star of the Month Award close the second Friday of the month following that for which the award is to be made;
Recipients of the Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Month Award are automatically eligible for the Northern Mallee Sports Star of the Year Award. No other nominations will be considered for this award and;
Monthly Award winners shall receive a certificate acknowledging the award along with a Sportspower voucher for $50. Media coverage will also occur.
