Robinvale Football Netball Club takes out State Good Sports Award
2nd December 2009
Robinvale Football Netball Club was last night announced the 2009 Goods Sports Club of the Year, at a presentation function conducted in Melbourne. Representatives from the club were in attendance at the presentation function, and were joined by MSA Good Sports Project Officer Jeanette Worthington, and they were pleased to accept the award on behalf of the club.
Robinvale Football Netball Club was among a very small number of Good Sports clubs to make this shortlist, and were well poised to take out the award. Concepts such as the Harmony Day conducted earlier this year have been very well received by the selection committee for the award, and certainly held the club in good stead to take out the State award.
This great achievement by Robinvale Football Netball Club follows from the awarding of the same award to South Mildura Football Club in 2006. The MSA are proud to now have two State Good Sports Clubs in its catchment area, and congratulates the Robinvale club for their excellent work which has resulted in this prestigious award for them.
Any clubs wishing to gain more information on the Good Sports Program across the Northern Mallee, and including the Wentworth and Balranald shires, should contact Jeanette at MSA Mildura, on 5021 3464.
