Brad going places as he picks up March Sports Star Award

Brad Mason is a volleyballer going places. Brad has only been playing volleyball for 3½ years and in 2007 he was identified by the Australian Institute of Sport Volleyball coaching staff for consideration into the Australian Junior Boys Team. Brad is a member of the Victorian State team and has also been selected as Vice Captain.

In December Brad attended the Australian Boys training camp and in January he also attended the Australian Boys Beach Volleyball training camp. In February Brad received confirmation of his selection into the Australian Junior Boys representative team.

Brad is the first Sunraysia Academy of Sport athlete to be selected to a national level. Brad’s first taste of international volleyball will be in the 2009 Asian tournament to be held in Thailand in May. Depending on Brad’s performances in Thailand he may then be considered for other tours. Brad is now on his way to achieving his goal to play professionally.
